Automation steps. Your assistant follows these 4 steps each time it runs, using your connected email and calendar and CRM.

  1. 01

Before each external meeting, check whether it includes a limited partner or a prospective one, and stay quiet if it doesn't.

  2. 02

For an LP meeting, pull their record from my CRM: who they are, their firm, fund and commitment status, and the context I've logged about them.

  3. 03

Give me the last five interactions in order, everyone I know at that LP, and the follow-ups I owe them.

  4. 04

Lead with the relationship, then where things stand commercially, then recent activity.

Adjust the automation in chat

Tell your assistant what to do differently and it sets up that version for you.

  • Only include briefings for limited partners with active Fund III commitments.
  • Deliver the briefing a day before the call instead of an hour.
  • Add logged notes about Tidewater Health whenever healthcare comes up.

Results arrive as a message from your assistant. Each run posts to your conversation with your assistant, and can email you too. The automation keeps a log in your knowledge base and reads it before each run to see what has changed.

What starts this automation

Runs 1 hour before a meeting with someone outside your organization. When you add it, choose the lead time and which meeting titles to match.

Only useful reports

When nothing needs attention, the run says so in a line or stays quiet. When there are findings, you get them with a link to the full run.

What it does on its own

Pulls CRM records and writes your briefing on its own. Changes nothing. An automated run has no tool that sends, posts, shares, or deletes anything.

This automation reads your email and calendar and CRM. Connect Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 for your email and calendar and HubSpot, Attio, or Affinity for your CRM to Fieldwork.

Questions about this automation.

How do I set this up?
Open your assistant on the Agents page in Fieldwork, locate LP meeting prep in the job library, and choose Add. If your calendar or CRM like Affinity is not connected yet, the card offers to connect it first. It starts on the suggested 60 minute timing, which you can adjust during setup.
What does this automation do on its own?
It reviews your calendar, finds matching LP records in your CRM, and writes your briefing. It cannot edit CRM records, change your calendar, send messages, or share information with external parties.
Where do the briefings arrive?
Your briefing arrives as a message in your conversation with your assistant, and Fieldwork can also email it to you. When an upcoming external meeting is not with an LP or prospect, the assistant stays quiet.
How do I make changes to this briefing?
Tell your assistant in chat what you want to do differently, such as including prospective LPs or changing which CRM details appear. It runs before each matching meeting on your calendar.
