Stalled deals

Output

One open wholesale deal in HubSpot needs attention today. Saltmarsh General has been quiet for 25 days with no upcoming meetings on your Google Workspace calendar.

Driftline Supply Co ($18,400) is awaiting review on their sent proposal, and Kestrel & Finch ($9,600) has an active follow-up scheduled following discovery. Neither is considered stalled.

Stalled deal

  • Account: Saltmarsh General
  • Contact: Tess Rook
  • Amount: $6,200
  • Stage: Discovery completed
  • Status: Last touch was August 20 regarding opening order minimums. Harbor & Pine owes no deliverables, and Tess has not responded to the last note.

A reconnect email is waiting in your drafts in Google Workspace for your review.

To: Tess Rook (tess@example.com) Subject: Harbor & Pine fall stock for Saltmarsh General

Hi Tess,

I am checking back on your opening order for Saltmarsh General. We just finalized seasonal allocations for our Cascade Merino Crew and Timberline Flannel, and I want to make sure we can reserve sizes for your store ahead of October.

Do you have ten minutes this Wednesday or Thursday to review order quantities?

Best, Cal

Automation steps. Your assistant follows these 4 steps each time it runs, using your connected CRM and email and calendar.

  1. 01

Each Monday, scan my open deals in the CRM for those that have gone quiet: no activity or reply in a while, no next meeting, or stuck in a stage past my normal cycle.

  2. 02

For each, reconstruct where and why it stalled: the last touch, what we were waiting on, and who owes the next move.

  3. 03

Draft a short, personal message in my voice with a concrete reason to reconnect, not "circling back".

  4. 04

Put the highest-value, latest-stage deals first, and skip those where I'm legitimately waiting.

Adjust the automation in chat

Tell your assistant what to do differently and it sets up that version for you.

  • Only flag deals as quiet after fourteen days of no contact.
  • Skip open deals with a value under $10,000.
  • Focus reconnect drafts on our top three bestselling apparel styles.

Results arrive as a message from your assistant. Each run posts to your conversation with your assistant, and can email you too. The automation keeps a log in your knowledge base and reads it before each run to see what has changed.

Adjustable schedule

Runs every Monday at 07:30 by default. Pick another time when you add it, or ask in chat for a custom schedule.

Only useful reports

When nothing needs attention, the run says so in a line or stays quiet. When there are findings, you get them with a link to the full run.

What it does on its own

Finds quiet deals and drafts reconnect emails. Every message waits in your drafts to send. An automated run has no tool that sends, posts, shares, or deletes anything.

This automation reads your CRM and email and calendar. Connect HubSpot, Attio, or Affinity for your CRM and Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 for your email and calendar to Fieldwork.

Questions about this automation.

How do I set this up?
Open your assistant on the Agents page in Fieldwork, locate Stalled deals in the job library, and click Add. The setup card will help you connect HubSpot and Google Workspace if they are not linked yet. It is configured to run every Monday at 7:30 AM, which you can adjust during setup.
Does it send emails to prospective buyers on its own?
No. The automation only searches your CRM for quiet records and prepares suggested notes in your email drafts folder. You review, edit, and send every email yourself.
Where do my pipeline updates appear?
Summaries arrive as a direct message in your Fieldwork conversation and can also be delivered to your inbox. If no accounts are stalled when the scan finishes, it lets you know quickly or remains quiet.
Can I run this check outside of Monday mornings?
Yes. While it runs on a Monday morning schedule by default, you can ask your assistant in chat to check for stalled deals whenever you want an updated pipeline scan.
