Closed-lost win-back
Output
Cal, one closed-lost deal has an opening for outreach this week. Three months have passed since Larkspur Mercantile paused on budget in June, and wholesale accounts are currently setting fall inventories.
A draft email to Vic Hollow is waiting in your Google Workspace drafts folder. Nothing was sent.
| Account | Contact | Closed date | Loss reason | Opening |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Larkspur Mercantile | Vic Hollow | June 2026 | Budget | Three months passed, fall buying open |
Deal context Larkspur Mercantile closed lost when their initial retail budget froze for summer. Vic Hollow did not ask us to stop outreach. With fall planning active across regional stockists, this is a clean window to check whether budget has opened up. No other closed-lost deals in HubSpot currently show an active trigger.

To: vic@example.com Subject: Harbor & Pine fall wholesale line
Hi Vic,
I hope your summer wrapped up well.
When we spoke in June, budget timing was tight for Larkspur Mercantile. With fall buying underway, I wanted to see if your inventory plans for the coming season have opened up any room.
Harbor & Pine has our fall apparel and home goods ready for wholesale orders, including the Cascade Merino Crew and Alder Wool Throw. If you would like to take another look at line sheets and margin numbers, let me know and I will share the details.
Best, Cal
Automation steps. Your assistant follows these 4 steps each time it runs, using your connected CRM and email and calendar.
- 01
Every week, go through my closed-lost deals in the CRM and focus on those lost for reasons that can change: timing, budget, no champion, or a competitor.
- 02
Look for a real reason to reach out now: new funding, a leadership change, an announcement, a competitor stumble, or enough time passed.
- 03
For each with a genuine opening, draft a short, personal re-engagement email in my voice that says why now.
- 04
Skip anyone who asked us to stop, and note the borderline ones for my judgment.
Adjust the automation in chat
Tell your assistant what to do differently and it sets up that version for you.
- Only review deals that were marked closed-lost within the last six months.
- Draft re-engagement emails only for accounts lost due to budget or timing.
- Focus only on closed-lost opportunities with an original deal value over $5,000.
Results arrive as a message from your assistant. Each run posts to your conversation with your assistant, and can email you too. The automation keeps a log in your knowledge base and reads it before each run to see what has changed.
Adjustable schedule
Runs every Tuesday at 09:00 by default. Pick another time when you add it, or ask in chat for a custom schedule.
Only useful reports
When nothing needs attention, the run says so in a line or stays quiet. When there are findings, you get them with a link to the full run.
What it does on its own
Scans closed-lost deals and drafts re-engagement emails. Every email waits for you to send. An automated run has no tool that sends, posts, shares, or deletes anything.
This automation reads your CRM and email and calendar. Connect HubSpot, Attio, or Affinity for your CRM and Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 for your email and calendar to Fieldwork.

Questions about this automation.
- How do I set this up?
- Open your assistant on the Agents page in Fieldwork, locate Closed-lost win-back in the job library, and choose Add. If your CRM or email service is not connected yet, the card prompts you to link them first. It defaults to running every Tuesday at 9:00 AM, which you can adjust when adding it.
- Does it send the re-engagement emails automatically?
- No, it only scans your CRM and places proposed messages directly into your email drafts folder. You review and send every message yourself, as Fieldwork never contacts prospects, updates deal stages, or deletes data on its own.
- Where will I see the summary?
- Your assistant delivers the review in your Fieldwork conversation, and it can also send a copy to your email inbox. If no lost deals present a clear opening during a given run, it reports that briefly or stays quiet.
- Can I run this win-back review on demand?
- Yes, you can ask your assistant in chat to scan your closed-lost deals whenever you want an immediate update. You can also tell your assistant in chat to refine the loss reasons or timing rules used for future Tuesday checks.

No training on your data
Neither we nor our model providers train on your data. Inference runs with zero retention wherever the provider supports it.
Access
Agents only see what the person asking can see. Conversations, files, apps and connections stay private until shared, and admins have no way into conversations.
Encryption and isolation
Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Each user's code runs in its own microVM, and secrets reach models by name only.
Continuity
Continuous backups, replicated to a second region. Data is exported on request and deleted within 30 days of a contract's end.
