Goal drift tracker
Output
Sol, here is the weekly drift check against Q4 goals for Harbor & Pine. Two workstreams are slipping, while warehouse prep remains on track. Draft nudges are saved in your drafts folder for review before the Monday leadership meeting.
| Goal workstream | Owner | Status | Activity summary |
|---|---|---|---|
| Senior engineer hiring | Ezra Holt | Off track | No interviews logged in Linear this week. Engineering focus was on checkout bugs. |
| Wholesale expansion | Cal Brook | At risk | Saltmarsh General ($6,200) has had no email activity since August 20. |
| Fulfillment ramp | Owen Reed | On track | Portland checklist updated in Google Workspace with all items current. |
Identified delays
- Engineering hiring: Ezra is occupied with storefront code changes. Candidates Dara Finch and Leo Marsh are waiting for technical screens.
- Wholesale accounts: Cal is active on Kestrel & Finch and Driftline Supply Co, but Saltmarsh General needs re-engagement.

To: ezra@example.com Subject: Q4 goal check on engineering hiring
Hi Ezra, Checking in before tomorrow's leadership call. I saw technical interviews paused this week while you handled storefront fixes. Can Juno screen Dara or Leo first, or should we adjust sprint priorities this week?
To: cal@example.com Subject: Saltmarsh General update
Hi Cal, Checking in on the wholesale pipeline. Do you need any support re-engaging Tess Rook at Saltmarsh General, or should we adjust the timing on that account?
Automation steps. Your assistant follows these 5 steps each time it runs, using your connected email and calendar and tasks.
- 01
On Sunday evening, compare each workstream under our goals with what's actually happening: task movement, relevant email threads, and the latest meeting notes.
- 02
Judge each on track, at risk or off track, and only call it off track when the activity backs that up.
- 03
For anything slipping, work out why: blocked, quietly deprioritized, or an owner busy elsewhere.
- 04
Draft a short, collegial nudge to each owner whose workstream is slipping.
- 05
Give me one summary I could forward, problems first.
Adjust the automation in chat
Tell your assistant what to do differently and it sets up that version for you.
- Only draft nudges for goals marked off track.
- Include updates from Granola meeting notes.
- Run this review on Monday at 7:00 AM instead of Sunday evening.
Results arrive as a message from your assistant. Each run posts to your conversation with your assistant, and can email you too. The automation keeps a log in your knowledge base and reads it before each run to see what has changed.
Adjustable schedule
Runs every Sunday at 18:00 by default. Pick another time when you add it, or ask in chat for a custom schedule.
Only useful reports
When nothing needs attention, the run says so in a line or stays quiet. When there are findings, you get them with a link to the full run.
What it does on its own
Reviews progress and drafts nudges to owners. Every message waits for you to send. An automated run has no tool that sends, posts, shares, or deletes anything.
This automation reads your email and calendar and tasks. Connect Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 for your email and calendar and Linear, Notion, Todoist, monday.com, or Trello for your tasks to Fieldwork. It also uses your files, meeting notes when connected.

Questions about this automation.
- How do I set this up?
- Open your assistant on the Agents page in Fieldwork, locate Goal drift tracker in the job library, and click Add. The card guides you to connect your Google Workspace account and task manager such as Linear if they are not linked yet. It is scheduled to start on Sunday at 6:00 PM, which you can adjust during setup.
- What does it do on its own versus what waits for me?
- Fieldwork reads your task activity, emails, documents, and notes to detect slipping projects without editing them. When an owner needs a reminder, it creates an email draft in your drafts folder for you to review and send.
- Where do the drift reports arrive?
- You receive the report directly in your assistant chat conversation, and it can be sent to your email as well. If every project is moving according to plan, the assistant posts a brief confirmation or stays quiet.
- Can I run this check on demand before Sunday?
- Yes, you can ask your assistant in chat to run a goal check at any point during the week. It will inspect current tasks and messages to deliver an immediate progress summary.

No training on your data
Neither we nor our model providers train on your data. Inference runs with zero retention wherever the provider supports it.
Access
Agents only see what the person asking can see. Conversations, files, apps and connections stay private until shared, and admins have no way into conversations.
Encryption and isolation
Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Each user's code runs in its own microVM, and secrets reach models by name only.
Continuity
Continuous backups, replicated to a second region. Data is exported on request and deleted within 30 days of a contract's end.
