Morning briefing

Output

Good morning Maya. Here is your briefing for Monday, September 14, 2026.

Your top priority today is the buying review with Lena Vale, followed by the leadership meeting with Sol Varga. In HubSpot, Noor Hale at Driftline Supply Co asked overnight to split their $18,400 wholesale order.

Today on your calendar

  • 9:00 AM: Monday buying review with Lena Vale. Prep: Fall buying plan in Google Drive. Lena noted in Slack that Harbor & Pine needs to confirm order quantities for the Alder Wool Throw before sending the Mossbank Textiles purchase order.
  • 11:00 AM: Leadership meeting with Sol Varga. Sol updated the Q4 goals doc. No extra prep needed from you.
  • 2:00 PM: Lena Vale 1:1. Agenda includes reviewing candidate Dara Finch for the Portland store manager role.

Needs your attention

  • HubSpot wholesale deal: Noor Hale requested splitting the $18,400 Driftline Supply Co proposal into two separate deliveries across October and November.
  • Linear updates: Ezra Holt submitted an issue about cart performance in storefront. No action is required from you unless customer care sees checkout drop-offs.
  • Warehouse status: Owen Reed confirmed in #warehouse that all Friday orders left Portland Warehouse on schedule.

Open loops

  • Mossbank Textiles: Ada Fern has not yet confirmed fabric lead times.
  • Saltmarsh General: Tess Rook has been quiet since August 20 regarding the $6,200 order.

Automation steps. Your assistant follows these 6 steps each time it runs, using your connected email and calendar.

  1. 01

Each workday morning, give me one short briefing on what needs me today.

  2. 02

Go through what came in overnight, in email and the other tools I've connected, and keep only what actually needs me.

  3. 03

Read today's calendar: who I'm meeting, what to prepare, and any conflicts.

  4. 04

Check my open loops: commitments coming due and anything I'm waiting on from others.

  5. 05

Rank by consequence, not by arrival, with the one thing I can't drop first.

  6. 06

Keep it readable in two minutes; on a quiet day, say so in a line.

Adjust the automation in chat

Tell your assistant what to do differently and it sets up that version for you.

  • Only include meetings that have external attendees or missing prep notes.
  • Move the delivery time to 6:30 AM on weekdays.
  • Filter out Linear updates unless an issue is assigned directly to me.

Results arrive as a message from your assistant. Each run posts to your conversation with your assistant, and can email you too. The automation keeps a log in your knowledge base and reads it before each run to see what has changed.

Adjustable schedule

Runs every weekday at 07:00 by default. Pick another time when you add it, or ask in chat for a custom schedule.

Only useful reports

When nothing needs attention, the run says so in a line or stays quiet. When there are findings, you get them with a link to the full run.

What it does on its own

Reads and summarizes on its own. Changes nothing and sends no messages. An automated run has no tool that sends, posts, shares, or deletes anything.

This automation reads your email and calendar. Connect Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 to Fieldwork. The automation uses whichever you connect. It also uses your team chat, tasks, CRM when connected.

Questions about this automation.

How do I set this up?
Open your assistant on the Agents page in Fieldwork, locate Morning briefing in the job library, and click Add. The card prompts you to connect Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 if you have not already, and sets the schedule to weekdays at 7:00 AM unless you pick another time.
What does it do on its own, and what waits for me?
It reads your connected calendar, email, and task tools, then summarizes the key items for your day. It never creates calendar events, sends emails, or marks tasks complete, so all decisions and replies remain with you.
Where do the briefings arrive?
The summary appears as a message in your conversation with your assistant, and it can also arrive in your email inbox. If there is nothing that requires your attention that morning, it stays quiet or notes that your day is clear.
Can I run the briefing outside its normal morning schedule?
You can ask your assistant in chat to run the briefing whenever you want an updated snapshot. If you want to change its standard morning time or adjust which tools it checks, tell your assistant what to do differently in chat.
