Automation steps. Your assistant follows these 4 steps each time it runs, using your connected email and calendar.
- 01
When new mail arrives, look for candidates replying on my own outreach threads, where the newest message is from the candidate.
- 02
Skip any thread you've already assessed, and stop quietly if you can't tell the company and role with confidence.
- 03
Score how likely they are to take a screening call (interested, warm, polite decline, hard decline), research their background, and write me an internal assessment of under 400 words: the score, a summary of their reply, their profile, strengths and gaps for the role, a suggested next step, and what sources you checked.
- 04
If they asked not to be contacted again, say so prominently.
Adjust the automation in chat
Tell your assistant what to do differently and it sets up that version for you.
- Only evaluate replies for the store manager role.
- Include links to the original outreach thread in each assessment.
- Flag candidates with open salary expectations in the summary.
Results arrive as a message from your assistant. Each run posts to your conversation with your assistant, and can email you too. The automation keeps a log in your knowledge base and reads it before each run to see what has changed.
What starts this automation
Runs as new mail arrives in your inbox. It reads the mailbox you choose when you add it.
Only useful reports
When nothing needs attention, the run says so in a line or stays quiet. When there are findings, you get them with a link to the full run.
What it does on its own
Scores replies and writes assessments on its own. Changes nothing. An automated run has no tool that sends, posts, shares, or deletes anything.
This automation reads your email and calendar. Connect Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 to Fieldwork. The automation uses whichever you connect. It also uses your files, team chat when connected.

Questions about this automation.
- How do I set this up?
- Go to the Agents page in Fieldwork, open your assistant, find this job in the library, and select Add. If your Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 mailbox is not connected yet, the card prompts you to connect it before monitoring incoming emails.
- What does it do on its own versus waiting for me?
- It reads incoming candidate replies, scores their interest, and drafts an internal assessment for you. It never sends a response to the candidate, shares notes, or updates your calendar on its own.
- Where do the assessments arrive?
- Each evaluation appears as a message in your chat with your assistant, and Fieldwork can also email it to you. When an incoming email is not a candidate reply to your outreach, the assistant stays quiet.
- What happens when a candidate declines outreach or asks not to be contacted?
- The assessment marks the reply as a polite or hard decline and highlights opt out requests clearly in the report. It takes no action on your email or contacts, leaving you to record their preference.

No training on your data
Neither we nor our model providers train on your data. Inference runs with zero retention wherever the provider supports it.
Access
Agents only see what the person asking can see. Conversations, files, apps and connections stay private until shared, and admins have no way into conversations.
Encryption and isolation
Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Each user's code runs in its own microVM, and secrets reach models by name only.
Continuity
Continuous backups, replicated to a second region. Data is exported on request and deleted within 30 days of a contract's end.
